MIFF Furniverse 2020 Post-Show Report
The first edition of MIFF Furniverse in 2020 consisted of three live market events targeted at three different regions: Asia Pacific (11–13 Aug), North & South America (18–20 Aug) and Europe, Middle East and Africa (26–28 Aug).
The virtual exhibition has generated a total of 2,468 business leads, attracted 922 total visits of buyers from 84 countries & regions to connect real-time with our exhibitors to fulfil furniture sourcing needs in this trying period. Buyers from the United States are on top of the list, which proves an ongoing strong demand for Malaysian-made furniture from US-based buyers. The platform made it possible to widen geographic reach as it has attracted new buyers who haven't been to MIFF (30% of trade buyers).
Furniture importers, wholesalers and retailers were the main buying groups (>70%) who actively sourced furniture products on the MIFF Furniverse platform. Home furniture including bedroom (71%), living room (70%), dining room (68%) and upholstery/sofa (54%) furniture are the most sought-after products; followed by office (47%), outdoor (40%), kitchen (36%) and childrens' (33%) furniture.
A total of 70 exhibitors participated in showcasing their products at MIFF Furniverse 2020.
